I wouldn’t call this love at first site, but the Kors Michael Kors Cassie Wedges definitely won my heart.  One might call them plain – everything is studded right now – but the understated design of the Cassie makes for a sophisticated silhouette.  They’re a perfect addition to a corporate wardrobe, and can still be worn to happy hour, without feeling under dressed.

The Kors Michael Kors Cassie wedges have a 4-inch wedge, 1-inch covered platform and padded insole.  They’re available in black and camel.  They retail for $225.00.

Singer Leela James, whose known for her big hair and even bigger voice, attended the Danny Clark Foundation 2nd Annual Laughs for Lives Charity Comedy Event last week.  She wore a laid back look, so the focus was on her shoes.  Her shoes were multi-strap heels with a combining strap over the toe and up the vamp.  She wore the
DV by Dolce Vita Cougar Sandal which retail for an affordable $101.95.

The Cougar’s contain a 4 1/4-inch heel and 1/2-inch platform.  I tried on them on a few weeks ago and found them slightly uncomfortable, though considering the small platform, the heels aren’t too high.  Luckily everyone fits shoes differently, so if you’ve had you’re eyes on these, don’t hesitate – they do look hot.

The shoes are available in cognac, black and unfortunately an animal-print that doesn’t look too hot.

“Only for the boss chic[k], dime diva” is designer Melody Ehsani’s description for these heels. Appropriately so as these heels are perfect for the HBIC. Melody is most known for her custom accessories, which were made famous by pop-stars such as Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu, Ciara, Rihanna and Keri Hilson. She’s expanded her empire to include shoes that are affordable and carry the same spunk as her jewelry, while staying on-trend without being mimicky.

The Asjia heel, my favorite from the collection, retail at Melody Ehsani’s site for $150.00. I was browsing Saks and did a double take when I saw these MICHAEL Michael Kors Crisscross Platform sandals.  I’m in love! These nude sandals feature a woven strap across the vamp, followed by crisscross straps across the top of the foot.  And usually I would shy away from a 5′ heel, but the 1 3/4′ platform gives the shoe an approachable heel height of 3 1/4′ – totally wearable.

These shoes are the perfect addition to a Spring wardrobe.  Pair them with florals, like Kim Kardashian, a cute romper, denims & a cardigan or a casual dress.

Yes! The Chrissie Morris Sunbeam Cutout heels have finally hit the scene, worn by Savannah Brinson, Labron James’ live-in girlfriend. Recall, I recently posted the decadent heels, which contain stingray, python and suede and retail for almost $1,400.00. Great choice Savannah!

A few weeks ago I took a trip to the Santa Monica Promenade at 3rd Street to visit the Apple Store. Of course a visit to the SMP isn’t complete without at least browsing the various shoe stores along the 3 block shopping area. In doing so, I spotted the Kitson outlet, located within the old Border’s bookstore location.

I hit gold! There were tons of shoes available for approximately 50% off. Among the wide selection of brands were L.A.M.B., The Reports (Report & Report Signature), Dolce Vita and Emilio Pucci, just to name a few.

I was initially smitten with the Elizabeth & James Linda caged pumps. The open toe, caged booties pumps are made with stingray leather, which give them a textured feel. There’s an exposed zipper up the vamp of the shoe. And it all sits on top of a 4-inch heel, which is my maximum heel height for a non-platform.

And unlike most 4-inch heels, these were incredibly comfortable on my feet. I had foot surgery a few years ago, so higher heels sometimes give me problems. I was strutting around the store wearing them with ease. I could easily wear them while I’m out running errands. Not really ideal for a full day at the mall, of course. My dogs are usually barking after a full day of shopping in my Vans…

The shoes were priced at $197.00, which is a GREAT BUY compared to the current price of $350.00 listed at Nordstrom’s, Bergdorf and Cusp. Shopbop also has them on sale for $245, which is a good buy, but not a great buy. I was very tempted to buy, but London cooing in her stroller brought me back to reality.

There was no way I was going to spend $200 on myself. Yes, I’m going through the “buying for myself is being a selfish mommy” syndrome, along with the “I want to buy my baby EVERYTHING” syndrome. I’ve eventually snapped out of this (stay tuned), but not on this day.

So we strolled on over to the baby area at Kitson. There I found some Ralph Lauren Espadrilles in various colors. They were too adorable to pass up this time. I had previously seen them for $40.00, but here they were priced at $15. BOUGHT!

They only had a size 3, so London will have to wait until Spring/Summer to wear them. I’ve since bought her a few outfits to pair with them. I’m sure she can’t wait…

I’ve seen many pairs of haute heels in my time on this here Earth, but these Chrissie Morris Sunbeam Cutout Heels are, simply put, jaw-dropping. And of course, like most jaw-droppers, the shoes aren’t cheap. They’re priced at $1,385.00 and understandably so. The 4-inch heel is covered in stingray and the straps are python, trimmed in suede. Decadence at it’s best, and I love it!

These Boutique 9 Women’s Joleen Sandal take inspiration directly from the Givenchy Gladiotor Booties previously worn by Cassie and Lauren London. But instead of being full on knocks, they took slight inspiration and ended up looking like a hot pair of shoes, instead of an almost pair of off knocks. Neutrals are so in right now, and the price is right, so don’t hesitate putting these in your closet. They retail online for $149.95.

I stumbled across these heels some while ago on Bloomindale’s and fell in love. They’re most definitely in trend with what’s going on in shoes right now. The platforms are over 4-inches high and contain multiple straps that start at each side of the shoe and comes together for a braided effect down the center of the shoes, for a caged-in effect.

The shoes are ideal for a pair of skinny jeans, pants and a flirty skirt. The natural color pair would be the perfect combination with floral and printed pieces.

The best feature of the shoe is the affordable price. The Calvin Klein Footwear Cali Platform Sandals retail for $145.00.
