Celebrities have all been seen rocking one of the latest trends: exposed zippers. Solange, Beyonce, Brandy, Kim and Katy Perry are just a few that have been seen rocking the zipper look.

Designers have been adding zippers to pieces as not just an functioning item, but as an accessory. Versace was just one designers who featured the exposed zipper in their Spring 09 runway collection. I love the unzipped heart…

Solange, Beyonce and Brandy’s looks all included zippers as decorative embellishments. Solange’s 3.1 Phillip Lim Winding Zipper dress contained waves of zippers that wrapped around her body multiple times. This dress contained the most zippers of all the looks, but at first dress, I didn’t even realize it was zippers. I love it, as I do most Phillip Lim pieces.

Beyonce’s white sheath contained a closed zipper across the torso, with the zipper opening as it continued across the chest.

Brandy, though on-trend, looked awful in her pants with exposed zippers running down the full length of each leg of her ill-fitting pants.

Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry both wore exposed zippers that were also functional. Kim’s Jay Godfrey Jersey Tank Two Tier Dress contained a zipper through the torso up to her chest, which is also used to remove the dress. Katy Perry’s Elizabeth and James pants contained zippered pockets on the thigh.

PARK CITY TREND: BOOT CAMP

Celebrities of all types were present in Park City, Utah, for the Sundance Film Festival. Of course, with the city being deep in Winter, it was fitting for most of the ladies to warm it up with a pair of boots.

Chyna Layne, Golden Brooks, Aubrey O’Day, Adrienne Bailon and Kim Kardashian all spiced it up in a pair of thigh high boots. Each wore the boots over denim and paired them with either a cute blouse, vest, layered tops or warm coats. Each paired varied in materials such as patent, leather and suede and varied in price tags. Aubrey and Adrienne were both wearing the Report Signature Fairfax Over The Knee Boots, priced at $359.90, while Kim wore the Fendi Secret Boots, Ebay priced at $929.00.

Golden Brooks, Jenny McCarthy and Maiysah took it down a notch. Eeach wore knee high boots over denim. The boots were in various colors, all in leather, with Golden’s having an aged look.

Keke Palmer, Gina Torres and Nia Long all kept it comfy in flat boots. They wore their boots in various sizes, with Keke rocking a more trendy style, Gina kept it traditional and Nia wore infamous Uggs.

The Uggs, which gives the foot a unattractive silhouette, isn’t the norm of the usually fabulous Nia Long. But considering that she was seen throughout the day’s events of promoting her upcoming film ‘Good Hair’, wearing a pair of increasingly uncomfortable heels, the choice was probably one of comfort.
