Last night singer Melanie Fiona walked the “blue carpet” at Avenue in New York, previous to her performance recording of BET’s Rising Icon show. Fiona wore a knit sweater dress with gray lace-up ankle booties. On her feet were the KG Violet Tie Front Heeled boots. The KG’s are currently available from Asos for $269.52 $188.66.

Singer Leela James, whose known for her big hair and even bigger voice, attended the Danny Clark Foundation 2nd Annual Laughs for Lives Charity Comedy Event last week. She wore a laid back look, so the focus was on her shoes. Her shoes were multi-strap heels with a combining strap over the toe and up the vamp. She wore the
DV by Dolce Vita Cougar Sandal which retail for an affordable $101.95.

The Cougar’s contain a 4 1/4-inch heel and 1/2-inch platform. I tried on them on a few weeks ago and found them slightly uncomfortable, though considering the small platform, the heels aren’t too high. Luckily everyone fits shoes differently, so if you’ve had you’re eyes on these, don’t hesitate – they do look hot.

The shoes are available in cognac, black and unfortunately an animal-print that doesn’t look too hot.

Teairra Mari was seen hitting up Club Grass in Miami a while back. She wore a cute blue dress with embellishments across the bust. She paired the dress with nude platforms. Nude heels are a must for any girls closet. Simply-put, they go with everything. And if you’re in the market for a pair of nude platform sandals, you’re in luck – Teairra Mari’s shoes are affordable.

The Steve Madden Naughtty Platforms retail for $99.95. The heels are styled similar to the Sergio Rossi Mary Jane Platforms, have a 5-inch heel and 1.25-inch platform, which is comparable to a 3.75-inch heel. The Naughttys are available in blush, gray, black/leopard and black.

TOYA’S LOOKS REVEALED

Toya, and her partner-in-crime Tiny, have been making her rounds to promote her new BET reality show Tiny & Toya. At the screening she wore a casual look consisting of brown leggings and a olive & grown heart-print tunic. On her feet were the 8020 Molly Mesh Open Toe Hidden Wedges. The 80%20 shoes are known to look like flats from the outside, but really have a hidden wedge of approximately 2.5 inches. Toya’s wedge sandals retail for $119.00 and are available in 6 colors.

For Toya’s Monique show appearance she wore a dress that I consider almost. It was almost cute, with a few buts. The dress looks like a gray strapless dress with blue and black stripes throughout. What’s killing this look is what looks to be a gray tee. Probably a nice look in person, but it didn’t translate well in person.

She really got down to business when it came to her shoes, though. She wore the Camilla Skovgaard Drop Cut Out Sandal Booties. They consisted of a closed in bootie-like silhouette and a zig-zag sole. The shoes retail for $480.00.

Toya wore a back dress with caged shoulders for her Chelsea Lately appearance. The dress may look familiar as Rihanna has worn the same dress in December to a Nokia event. The Funktional Caged Dress retails for an affordable price of $85.00.

I was browsing Saks and did a double take when I saw these MICHAEL Michael Kors Crisscross Platform sandals. I’m in love! These nude sandals feature a woven strap across the vamp, followed by crisscross straps across the top of the foot. And usually I would shy away from a 5′ heel, but the 1 3/4′ platform gives the shoe an approachable heel height of 3 1/4′ – totally wearable.

These shoes are the perfect addition to a Spring wardrobe. Pair them with florals, like Kim Kardashian, a cute romper, denims & a cardigan or a casual dress.

Fergie usually turns to high-end designers to dress her feet, but this isn’t always required because she’s got her own, shoes that is… Along with Jennifer Lopez, Fergie also attended the Miami dolphins game. Fergie stepped out in her own Fergie Traffic Shootie . The shooties (shoes + booties) include a 4 3/4 heel with a one inch platform and buckles welcoming each opening of the shoe at the toe and ankle. The lacing of the shooties gives them an oxford feel. I’m not crazy about the Traffic Shootie, but I love seeing celebrity-designers rocking their own items, especially affordable items. The shooties retails for $129.95.

I’m not one to say things like, “so and so must read my blog,” but after I posted the Boutique 9 Joleen sandals, they became Meagan Good‘s latest favorite pair of shoes. But since they’re hot, and only a little over one hundred bucks, I’ll take the credit for this one. Just kidding. But I am happy to see Meagan bringing attention to another affordable brand. The natural colored sandals are available at endless, while the black pair are available at zappos. Get them while they’re hot. Her last pair of Bebe‘s sold out in days.

With all the intimidating Pierre Giuseppe McQueen Louboutin-like brands dominating red carpets, it’s refreshing to see something with an approachable price tag, like Dolce Vita, strapped to some of our favorite celebrities’ feet.
