Sanaa Lathan attended the 40th NAACP Image Awards Nominee Luncheon at The Beverly Hills Hotel on February 7, 2009 in Beverly Hills, California. The actress wore a green, sleeveless dress with a cowl-neck and draping along the waist that mirrored the dresses’ neck. The hem of the dress feel just below the knee to finish the silhouette.
And of course a hem this low requires a heel with some height. Sanaa paired the dress with 4 3/4 inch heeled Jimmy Choo Seattle Sandal.
She pulled her hair into a pony tail, to not take attention from her best feature; her face.
This isn’t my favorite look as Sanaa, but I love that she takes chances, instead of wearing the same silouettes and colors constantly. She could teach Gabriel Union and Rosario Dawson a thing or two in the versatility department.
But I would have done a few things differently. First, since her face was bare of color, I would have added a pout of color to her lips. Something peachy, even a sheer, would be ideal for Sanaa’s skin tone. Secondly, I would have choose a pair of dangling earrings, instead of her simple studs. Nothing too over the top, but something noticeable.
For Sanaa’s NAACP look, I’ll give her a B-. What grade would you give her?
