We (meaning I, Marleaux) love Tracy Reese here at Lolo’s Cube. We gave her Spring ‘09 runway show raving reviews, as the “Spring Awakening” theme was filled with beautiful dresses in a mixture of feminine fabrics. So of course, we were very pleased to see Tatyana Ali wearing 3 different looks from the Black designer at recent events.
Tatyana’s latest love for the designer was seen at her 30th birthday party. The dress came straight from the Spring ‘09 collection and dripped feminine sophistication. The soft blue, halter dress contains layers of fabric that’s ruched throughout, hiding anything unsightly. There’s an extra bounce of fabric that hangs free from the bodice and down the center of the dress.
The ruching and halter silhouette off the dress would seem to intimidate Tatyana, as she doesn’t usually show much skin, but she looks comfortable in the sophisticated dress.
Tatyana’s previous Tracy Reese affair was seen at the BET “Yes We Can” inauguration event. She wore the Tracy Reese Bow Strapless Licorice Almond Joy Dress. The sweetheart strapless dress contains a large bow attached to the bodice. It looks like it’s trimmed in white stitching from afar, but up close you can see that it’s the almond print of the fabric.
The dress, previously retailed at $415, but is currently on sale for $208.
And Tatyana isn’t the only one that was feeling the Fall ‘08 Tracy Reese crinkle wrapped dress, which she wore to the Hip-Hop Summit inauguration event. Taraji P. Henson was also seen wearing the same dress. I asked you all to vote and the crown was given to Taraji as queen of this dress. I still like the way Tatyana styled it, though as I said before, it’s one of my least favorite Tracy Reese dresses.
