When I saw Gucci’s Spring 09 runway show, I was immediately smitten with the Gucci Iman Sandals, which are my favorite from the Spring/Summer 09 collection. The sandals follow the Gucci chic standard, but with a dose of steroids boasting the 4-inch heel even higher with the addition of a double platform. A triple-buckle at the ankle gives this shoe bad girl appeal.
And of course, they’re Gucci, so even if you have bad girl-chic dreams, you need $1,275 to hear that elusive Gucci click-clack with every step you take.
Don’t fret, cause Bebe Sonja Triple Buckle Sandals make the same sound, and will turn just as many heads as you strut… They’re available online and in-stores for $149. That’s means there’s more than enough money to cop a few minis and skinny jeans to perfectly pair with the shoes.
The Iman sandals were presented on the runway in suede, crocodile and metallic leather, and in colors, such as brown, beige and coral, but only the gunmetal, black and mauve leathers are available at Gucci. I adore the nude pair.

Does anyone know whether BEBE will be gettin more of th Sonja style in? I swear I checked everyday and somehow missed them!!!

I checked everyday, too, and missed them. So I called the company and the lady said they hadn’t actually come in, but would be in “sometime in February.” I hope they come in that nude color, but I think they’ll just be in black and the tortoise.

Called today anxious as ever the girl said Bebe will not release them. An internal email saud that they were discontinued and won’t be released. She told me possibly for fall. I even asked was this because they were Gucci knockoffs . Best bet hope for the fall release or befriend a Gucci employee if you don’t mind $550. Boo to Bebe for getting our hopes up!
