Kim Kardashian attended Spike TV’s 2008 Video Game Awards in a a gold lame dress with a black ruffled layer peeking from below. She paired the dress with a simple clutch and Christian Louboutin Patent Platform Pumps. Her new bangs were surrounded by bone straight hair and went perfectly with her naturally made-up face and dark eyes.
This look has been receiving both good and bad reviews around the web. I like the look, but I only have one issue with that buckle thingie that sits on the back of her hip. It looks like one of those t-shirt ties from back in 5th grade; yeah, the 80’s.
Remember when we would wear them on the hem of our over-sized t-shirts that we paired with “straight-pants.” The ties would be in lieu of putting knots in our t-shirts. Man, I had every color shirt-tie back then. Back then…
The last thing I would expect to see is the t-shirt tie resurfacing on the red carpet, attached to a chic dress, such as Kim’s. And if you don’t think the item itself is odd, you have to at least be raising an eyebrow at the placement… Maybe it’s vintage dress, which they decided not too alter. *shrugs* But the corcky item didn’t stop Kim from receiving an A- in my book, just made me giggle with nostalgia of an elementary school apparel staple…
