Last night the 2008 VH1 Hip Hop Honors took place in New York. Lots of notable folks came out to represent. Let’s check out some highlights of folks who showed up in front of the flashing lights.
Joy Bryant looked hot. She wore a printed mini with some matching funky heels. And usually the new bride is au natural, but this time she opted for a little makeup, and she looks even hotter than usually. Good for you Joy, a little lip gloss doesn’t hurt anyone.
Nicole Murphy hit the red carpet in a textured mini, showing looks of leg down to her YSL pumps. I love the studded sleeve of the dress. And peep the new hair color. Hmmm, I’m on the fence about that.
Eve, Mc Lyte, and Estelle all went for the leather/latex look. Besides Estelle, both Mc Lyte and Eve seems a little behind on the style that every one was rocking in Spring. But I love Eve’s hair and makeup.
Wyclef Jean represented style wise for the men. He wore a hot studded jacket. Me likes.
Luke brought his new wife out to the event. She rocked some cute raspberry heels with her gray dress.
Fabulous and Cee-Lo also attended looking throwback. If Fab would have worn a kangool, I would’ve been convinced. Since he didn’t, I assume he was trying to looking like a 2008 mess… Cee-lo is Cee-lo and that’s all there is to it…

EVE is the fashion queen in hop-hop, she is always wearing the best and this is a perrrrfect example. Her Brian Reyes top outshines the rest here. No doubt she is the freshest chic.

Like Nicole’s new color, it makes her look less severe to me. Jury’s out on Eve’s hair, sorry. And Cee-Lo just better be glad he can pull off that “eccentric” thing

Eve looks great. And FINALLY, Joy Bryant in something that actually stands out. Beautiful girl but I hate that she’s forever playing it safe with her wardrobe. Hope to see her take chances more often. If her stylist could just get her to go the extra mile with a bangin’ hair cut, she’d look even better.
Fabolous needed to go home and reassess his entire life for even walking out the house in that get-up. Very played out
