We all know that Ashanti has been loving her white light lately. Apparantely she saved the best for last, as her latest occurrence of colorless style was at the Cartier Charity Love Bracelet event last month. I love this dress and wondered where Ashanti bought it, but I had no luck finding it. Turns out, she bought the dress right in my back yard. She went over to the vintage store Decades on Melrose and purchased the dress the day before the event.
The white shift with a lattice trimmed collor and lattice waist insert is a vintage Thierry Mugler dress circa the late 1980′s. I’m loving Ashanti for thinking outside of the box and going vintage. Plus this was the perfect dress to pair with a few million dollars worth of diamonds. This was a surpising choice since you don’t see vintage on too many of the young girls, especially those who usually have a contemporary “girl next door” look as Ashanti does. But like I said in my previous post, I’m loving her style.
