WEARABLE OR TERRIBLE: ARGYLE ON THE RED CARPET

Author: MARLEAUX | Files under FASHION

Estelle in Argyle

At Estelle’s visit to the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibit in the UK, the British singer wore a sequin argyle minidress.  Now I’ve always been under the impression that argyle was only meant for the office.  This wasn’t necessary a rule of mine as I actually hate rules.  But the office seems like the only logical place for the diamonded pattern.  But Estelle must have thought differently.  I actually love that the argyle is sequined; I wouldn’t mind a cardigan with a few sequined diamonds.  But is this pattern red carpet ready?

What do you think?

I think the look takes a little getting used to, but I don’t think it looks terrible. I don’t know how I feel about it!

I love the dress and shoes–hate the bag, earrings, bracelets, and ring. I think the main ensemble is actually very “red carpet ready.” However, her hair and face definitely were not. She needs to rearrange the cut and get someone to hook up the makeup. She has braces now? Invisalign, anyone? The tracks aren’t working for me.
