With celebrities stepping out on the red carpet in the latest Gucci “it” shoes, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon went another route. Instead of the Guccis, she arrived to the Kira Plastinina US Launch wearing the knocked edition: The Nine West Olavera Sandal, which retail for a mere $89.00.
I don’t blame her. The ex-model/actress is the mother of twins. And with the way the economy is going, why waste hundreds of dollars on shoes you’ll only wear once. Just buy the knocks and make a deposit towards the boys’ college fund. I’m also trying to let go of the brands, but maybe I’ll wait until I have a few mouths to feed. But I’m taking notes Garcelle…

I’m with her…cheaper is better! I’m really loving these shoes. I need to get these!

Funny, I ended up with this shoe in black when I had an event to go to out of town and the airline had misplaced my luggage. The straps are kinda crap, but I guess they’ll hold up for a season.

Garcelle looks gorgeous, but what’s new? The mix of the orange dress & the gold shoes is fantastic.
