Both Meagan Good and Solange rocked tutu inspired dresses recently. First Meagan Good at Spike Lee’s 2nd Annual Guy’s Choice award. She worked the bad girl ballerina look with a backless top and shredded tutu inspired bottum. Unfortunately, her over-made face made her look as plastic as her top. Meagan has never been known to to 0verdose on Mac, so hopefully this was a one-off.
Solange was the good girl ballerina in a cream dress at the TRL studio to promote her new video I Decided. As Meagan was previously criticized for wearing the ballerina inspired number, I’m sure the same will happen with Solange. But I love this look. This is how twentyy-somethings are supposed to look on the red carpet. Young and flirty without looking slutty.
But the only thing I dodn’t like about either of these looks are the shoes. Don’t get me wrong, I do like the shoes, but just not with these outfits. I wish Meagan would have worn the black pair of Report Signature Shoes Masonic Platform Collard T Strap Sandals in black instead of the nude color. And for Solange I would rather see her in a nude or metallic peep toe or strappy shoe instead of the something as busy as the Pierre Hardy Cristal High Heel Sandal. Though I do love them.

I like the Paul Hardy shoes on Solange…. it’s not busy just colorful. The clear straps evens out the balance of the outfit and the dress is a plain color so the colors work and the clear straps leave room to focus on the “ballerina” dress…. love her look though, but Meagan can do better than that because she’s done better!
