So, I still haven’t been able to drop that big dollar on a Marc Jacobs. I’m a little reluctant to do so, as I have to walk in the store with a lot of money and leave out with few items, just one to be precise. But for now, I’ll just stick with my premium brands like Coach, Dooney and Marc by Marc Jacobs (not to be confused with Marc Jacobs…). I’m getting bored with my regular canvas bags, so Coach really isn’t doing it for me anymore. Their bags seem to fall into that almost area. But check the recent Coach Heritage Stripe collection. At first glance I was in love.
But what’s up with those cotton straps. Cotton straps? Are we really cheaping down this bag. And I was ready to wear this with a nice sundress and some espadrilles or leather wedges for Spring. Oh well, I’m tired of that canvas anyway. Time to move one…
Before my intro into the Coach world, which wasn’t that long ago, I would wear Hype, BCBG and even before that Nine West bags. I was never one to go for straight knockoff as an alternate, just whatever bag was in-tune with my lil salary. But it’s different for some. Others would rather spend $60 on a knock-off Speedy, instead of a bag from one of the little stores in the mall. So for those girls, and since Canal Street is on lock right now, there’s Your Best Bags. The site carries all the hot lines from Balenciaga to Yves Saint Laurent, with brands like Louis Luis Vuitton, Coach and Chanel as their tops sellers. Check some comparisons.
Check the Miu Miu that I just posted and the Prada are both under $300, with the Hermes coming in at $380.00.
And though I’m not a fan of the faux, I want to know if any of you will proudly rock the fauxness with style.

Hey Girl you have done it again! This post is the bomb! Your statment was so true about bags in your budget! I dont have money for those expensive bags so i normally stick to what I can afford name brand wise. I have a couple Rafe bags from target, Kathy Zeland,Isaac Mizrahi for target. SO you catch my drift. But yesterday for the first time in my young life I purchased a knock off coach bag. I could not resist(its that patch work bag.) I paid 50bucks.It looks O.K. and I like it and all but after the purchase I realized I would never do it again! I will just stick to what I can afford! Why you say it just seems so wrong!

With my purses it’s like my heels (I say heels cause I own 120 pair of shoes and 90 of them are heels 3and a half inch and up). I stick to what I can afford. I shop Macy’s not Sak’s and brands like Nine West, Steve Madden, Guess. Cause, besides the kids and the house, I need to live in budget, I don’t have the money for $1000 bags. Honestly, my purses are Nine West and Guess. I don’t even own a Coach.

Coach is now being made in China and no longer sports premium Italian leathers which is why I have my good Coaches from back in the day and no more. I am not paying Premium prices for canvas and cotton bags with a logo on them. I started collecting Coach when I didn’t want to do the logo bag, now they are in the same bag.
I’m about to buy a knock off Gucci directly from China, it’s my first time, but I really just wanna see how it looks. I need to be looking at home ownership I have to miss some of the big ticket items.
Shoes I can’t skimp but bags..I’d rather do a leather no name than..I think. Unless I love my Chinese knockoff!

I love Marc Jabobs. I just bought a Marc by Marc Jacobs messenger bag a few weeks ago and I KNOW it’s going to last me a lifetime. It is rare that I even do a designer bag because I was always into backpacks.
