America’s Next Top Model – Cycle 10 – Episode 2
Ok yall, it’s on and popping. ANTM is back with a vengeance, and after the viewing of episode two, I’m officially loving it, and happy I jumped back on the ANTM band wagon. So Fassionates, let’s see who wants to be on top, and who just needs to be stopped.
The Runway.
The girls first challenge was to work the runway in the middle of Time Square. They all wore Badgley Michka. Let’s see the outcome…

The Good.
Atayla: She looked fierce on the runway. I’m sorry the judges didn’t take this into consideration during the elimination. Dominique: Worked the runway like a veteran. Kat: Did a sexxy sashay down the runway. Fatima: You can’t deny her beauty and that she worked the runway.

The Bad.
Marvita: Not only did she enter the stage unsure, she dropped her head half way down the runway. Was she following the brick road? Allison: Gas much? You’re on the runway, let it out; no one will know it’s you… Kim: Looked like she was allergic to her handbag. She should have convinced herself, that she got it from her favorite shopping spot, Walmart. Amis: Ever see those reality shoes where they make over some trailer park queen into a wanna be fashionista. Then they do the reveal and tell the awkward duckling to give it their model walk. This is that chick. And I wish she would stop harping; I’m not going to love you because you’re the awkward girl that doesn’t belong. Lauren: She came down the runway looking like she was trying to walk while wearing a pillow of a maxi pad.
And The Interesting…
Claire: Strutted her shoulders down the runway. Stacy-Ann: Hoofed it down the runway. Hope this isn’t her signature walk.

But it seems that she may have her first fan.
The rest of the girls were average.
The next day the girls go to Elite office.
Paulina Porizkova comes to the Elite office to critique the girls. Her advice was as follows: Amis needs a dermatologist; Dominique looks like a transvestite; Kim looks “High School Musical”; and Marvita should never bite down on her back teeth as it’ll make her face square. I’m sure all the girls were holding their breathes thinking that PP was going to be more cut throat. I can imagine that the other critics weren’t shown as they were positive, and who really watches top model for the positive aspect of the show…
But as Paulina was criticizing, I guess she didn’t realize how she would be perceived on camera. While telling Kim to pull out her darker side, she made a pulling jester that accompanied a choking sound. I guess Kim’s darker side is some where down her throat.
After the Elite meeting, the FabCab drove the contestants to a photo shot.
The Photo Shot
At the photo shot, the contestants were photographed surrounded by models wearing couture clothing, while the contestants wore normal clothes, that resembled a homeless person’s. The photo shot was in honor of the Reciprocity Foundation.
Amis was bouncing around like a 5 year old that needed to peepee. Fatima explained how the situation hits close to her heart, as she was teased while living in a homeless shelter. Her dialogue just doesn’t seem believable though. Marvita also talked of her past homelessness, and other atrocities done upon her. Hopefully, those two girls really will squash their differences, as it seems they have a few things in common.

The drama…
When every one was returning from the runway, fatima convientely had her arm sticking out and popped Marvita one across the head, looked at her as if she was thinking of apologizing, and then waved Marvita off as she kept walking. I know she may have been floating on cloud nine, but era umm, don’t walk through the room justa slapping folks around. I wouldn’t want to be around if she actually won the show. That chile would probably pull out a machine gun…

In the FabCab, there was a small argument as Fatima attemped to reiterate Paulina’s comments on Marvita’s face. Marvita tells Fatima that she’s never met a mean African and asks Fatima what’s wrong with her. The outcome of the conversation wasn’t shown.
During the photoshoot, Fatima and Marvita were going at it once again. Fatima explained that she puts up a guard and acts definsive. Both girls seemed to have patched things over, but we’ll see…
In the Lion’s Den.
Paulina Porizkova comes on board as the new evil witch judge. Did you all see Dominique’s look and reaction. She was smiling on the outside…
Jay now wears a coat with each girl’s name. Once they’re eliminated, or volunteer to leave, the velcroed name is removed.
Kim volunteered to leave the show. Throughout the episode, she continuisly explained that she’s not into fashion. She doesn’t beleive in wearing a $700 handbag and does’t want to support the industry. *sigh* I’m at a lose for words for this chick. I mean, you’re not obligated to buy the clothes, if anything, you might get some freebies. And this chick says that every one think she’s dumb… Ya don’t say. And don’t get me started on those denim knee handles…
So even after Kim’s departure, the judges still decided to elimanate another model, and that model was Atalya. I was sorry to see her go, as she did look fierce on that runway. But as Tyra said, she is more suited for commercial work.
The Final Standing.
Lolo’s Next Top Models:
Marvita: Last week I just thought she looked like a boys, and wouldn’t photograph well because her nostrils were so big. She proved me wrong, but she needs to be more confident on the runway.
Claire: Reminds me of Julia Styles, but it’s something about her that I find appealing.
Fatima: Hopefully she doesn’t start acting the fool and turn me off. Please let the first two episodes be just a phase in her Top Model career. Can’t deny this girls beauty though. Oh, and I love the way she talks.

As each season goes by, it seems like these girl’s emotional problems get deeper and deeper. And behind the scenes the girls get more catty. A bunch of unnecessary arguments. But I’ll be watching.

I watched last night…they picked a couple crazy looking chicks where I felt that a couple didnt make it should have been in their spot… but you know with the make-overs every comes out looking like a top model… I liked fatima at first and before they even said it I thought about Iman… she is just gorgeous… hella skinny but still gorgeous… then her attitude towards the end like she knows it all almost made me want to come threw the tv and slap her… although i was glad tyra made that exception to have 14 girls this time instead of 13 making way for dominique…

Every season I swear is my last…but every season I start watching again! I like Dominique too! She looks like that Brit chick Jordan. And Fatima’s story is kind of amazing…I’m betting her makeover will be a supershort buzzcut.

grrrrrrr. i was mad @ some of the picks last night but oh well. didn’t care for fatima @ 1st, because when shaya got up to shake her ass she gave her the look of doom and called her “ghetto and uneducated” if i remember right. it’s like LIGHTEN THE F*CK UP BOB!!!…and then i felt bad when she told her story about being circumcized, and not being able to feel sexual pleasure. then it hit me: i’d be wound up too tight (myself) if i couldn’t skoink.

i like claire. marvita scares me. fatima ….(le sigh) i want to like her, but she seems to have foot-in-mouth disease. poor atayla…and someone should have slapped kim 2 times for wasting someone else’s opportunity…ditz!

I like Claire as the winner. She seems to have a confidence and a maturity clearly lacking in a lot of the other girls. Plus she takes great pics!
The girl they sent home was cute and that’s about it…I wasn’t too surprised to see her go, but I was surprised to see her go first.

torrance – That’s how it’s been for the last few years I think. Not sure though, cause I haven’t been watching.
pcd – understandable about Marvita. Her voice is a little harsh too. Kim was on their simply to learn how to take better photos for her myspace and facebook page…
Opinionated Diva- I agree with everything you said. Yeah, it’s a few more who deserved to go home.

ms. behaving – yeah they have some real promising girls this week. Plus the drama, it’s all about the drama. They have it on youtube too and it airs on Sundays.
